Dear Baby Waider,
Every, single, year on or around January 2nd I ask your dad, "So, what do you want to do on your birthday." Since we do holidays big around here and his birthday is at the tail end and around his birthday we are ALWAYS just going back to school he usually says, "Let's just order pizza and chill. No big deal." So that is usually what we do. However, this year his response was adamant and immediate. "I want to invite the kids and go to Chuck E. Cheese." So we decided to have a Chuck E. Cheese party for your dad. It. Was.Awesome. This is a story best told in pictures. It really began as we were greeted at the door by our party host, Micheal, who was fantastic. He seemed pretty relieved and surprised that this birthday star was going to be 34 instead of some bratty 8 year old. I also loved that he made daddy do everything that a birthday star is supposed to do. He usually works in the kitchen but them may want to promote him. He ruled.
We started out with some pizza. Everyone pitched in on the pizza as part of the party. Next year we will get more. Chuck E. Cheese has pretty darn good pizza!
Then they brought cake and got us ready to have the Birthday Star celebration, which when you are 34 translates to AWESOME BIRTHDAY STAR CELEBRATION.
Chuck E. Cheese came out. Which none of you kids were all too thrilled about. Apparently a GIANT mouse or rat is not what appeals to the toddler and young child crowd. You all had varying levels of breakdown concerning Chuck. All except Finn, I think he was okay with Chuck. They tried to put a birthday medal around dad's neck, which didn't fit over his head. So Micheal put it around your neck. Then you got to put on the AWESOME birthday crown. It was fantastic.
Next was by far the BEST part of the party. Your dad got to do the ticket blaster. He even won the 1,000 ticket bonus!!!! Woo-Hoo!!
Thankfully we got the whole thing on video, which is on the video bar to the right. AND thankfully dad hooked mom up and I got to do the ticket blaster too! It was way harder than I thought it would be. It is on video too and it was awesome!
As you will notice in the video you were not a fan of Mama doing the ticket blaster. The following photos are shots from throughout the night. I know your dad had a blast because he had a HUGE smile on his face the entire time. Plus, since all of the adults were playing games and winning tickets (plus the loot from the ticket blaster) we were able to buy with tickets and $0.60 3 Chuck E. Cheese dolls @ 1499 tickets each. A rocket launcher @ 500 tickets and 4 whistles. The pictures of the four of you with your loot are pretty cute. True to form you loved Chuck for all of the first 10 minutes you had him...ever since you really couldn't care less. Anyway it was tons of fun and I personally can't wait to go back to Chuck E. Cheese!
