I figured it was probably time to add Baby Dos to the letters. As of today I am 19 weeks along with Baby Dos. Darn near halfway! Which feels amazing. I haven't posted too much this spring because unfortunately we haven't had much spring at all. :( We have had around 30 inches of snow that is SLOWLY melting. We finally got to go to the sandbox yesterday with Cousin Finn. You still had to wear parkas, but you got to play in the sand just the same.
I've decided to sort of recap the past few weeks in one blog post. To sum it all up in one short sentence I consistently think how fortunate we are to live close to family and that we have a blast every time we get together. I think we have a totally fun life and I feel so fortunate. When you get here Baby Dos you best be ready to hit the ground running because we have fun and we are busy!
Easter
Easter break was pretty awesome because it was a pretty beautiful weekend! Especially considering the weather that has followed. We got to spend lots of time playing outside in the sandbox, swinging in the tree, and walking Mia!

You scored a SWEET playhouse from the Easter bunny that you love! Your Grandpa Marker and Mary also came to visit you. You also had a ball decorating eggs (for all of about 15 minutes) and eating the hard-boiled eggs!Perhaps your favorite part of the weekend was doing egg hunts! You got to do one Easter morning and one in the afternoon that Grandpa and Grandma Halter did for you! You loved the six-lets in the eggs the best. You got a bunny from Grandma that has been really special since then. You sleep with bunny every night and bunny goes quite a few places with us.
You also got to go and see the world's creepiest Easter Bunny at the toy store downtown. You were not a fan.
For Easter night we decided to go to Burger King. Burger King was the chosen place because it has a play place. Mom has a bad history with play places, but the nephews really wanted to go to the play place. When we arrived at Burger King we were the only people there and it was super quiet! The employees were quietly cleaning up and getting ready to close for the night. Then the Halters arrived and we brought on the noise! We are quite a crew now. Some Webers, Halters, Waiders, Harringtons. In short we are a loud crowd! After eating hardly anything you and your cousins, much to my dismay, went into the germ infested play area. It completely grossed me out, but you had a total blast. You and Harry ran and ran and ran. You and Finn fought. You and your dad had a ball. Even though it went against everything that I believe in and I was certain you would catch some form of a plague in that play area seeing how much fun you were having reminded me that sometimes you just have to let your kid play in the play area.
Clearly you were having a ball, germ infested or not.
As was Vern.
Finn had some struggles in the play area. I think by struggle I mean that you were doing everything in your power to drive him crazy. Or you took him down in the play area. I think you also took his truck. All in all tough trip to the play area for Finn.
Continuing Finn's tough trip is this picture with Auntie. The play area had odd rules. The first one was that 1. Kids must be supervised by a happy adult. Auntie Katie looks like she is forcing it to meet rule 1. Maybe because her child was being picked on. I don't know.
Another odd rule. Rule 6. If you see anything weird tell the manager immediately. These two should have been reported immediately.
No pictures of Harry because they way he was moving he would have only been a blur in any shot. Ironically, us adults were having just as much fun in the play area! It was all around a good time. It reminded me of countless times getting together with cousins at both grandmas' houses. We would play, and run, and laugh until our bellies hurt and our cheeks were red. I remember the quiet drives home after those really fun times. Looking at you with your cousins reminds me of all the fun that I had with my cousins growing up. You are in for some really great times!
Fish Hatchery
Uncle Rob's sister LeeAnn took us on a really cool tour of the fish hatchery. LeeAnn shared lots of good information. Unfortunately, I didn't hear much of it because dad and I were busy chasing you to prevent you from falling into a massive, deep pond of water full of hungry trout! You enjoyed being at the fish hatchery, but what you enjoyed the most was feeding the fish. You got to feed them TONS and TONS of food. You did pretty well and only pushed Finn and Harry a couple of times. All in all a success. Everyone left dry which was nothing shy of a miracle.
Birthdays
You were fortunate to be invited to three birthday parties in two locations the past month. One was for Cousin Brook and the other was for mom's good friend's girls Bree and Caitlyn. Both were fun, but only one ended with Wrestle Mania with Grandpa!
I love this picture. Someday, we will look at this picture and you will be the age that Brook is now and Brook will be near thirty. This picture will be a distant memory and treasure of a precious time. You are all so little and Brook is a young man. I just love pictures that are snapshots in time that will mean so much to us later. So precious.
This picture makes me sad. You are with one of mom's besties, Mrs. Fenster's daughter, Bree. That seems like a really complicated explanation. We've worked together for years and they are moving this year to Bismark, ND. It is totally sad to me because all of you kids were supposed to grow up together! :(
Here you are at the Chuck E. Cheese birthday with Auntie. It was fun to see you and Finn around a different group of kids. You were pretty subdued not around the other cousins!
SNOW DAYS!
Naturally the day before the blizzard was beautiful. Somehow I think you must have known that a TON of snow was coming because you insisted upon wearing this hat! Luckily you took it off before you went to church, and I think you look so cute in your spring clothes with this wintry hat on!
You got to experience your first real blizzard. If we are going to have a huge snow in South Dakota, mark my words it will happen in the Spring. It is annoying because we are all ready for warm weather. Typically an April blizzard isn't the worst because the snow melts quickly. This time that has not been the case. It has been really cold and yucky with more snow coming. The snow day was pretty uneventful. You helped mom make muffins and soup. You also got to hang out your pjs all day with Mia so it wasn't too bad. You are used to going outside whenever you want to so you had a really hard time understanding that you had to stay inside.
Here you are with Mia. She's sitting so nicely because you are feeding her animal crackers. The two of you are such good friends.
Here you are cooking with dad. One of your favorite things to do. Mostly you like to sample cheese and watch us do all the work.
Dinosaur Days!
The School of Mines put on a Dinosaur Days exhibit for kids. It was a series of stations where you could walk around and do different activities with dinosaurs. It is run by engineer students. Which translates to people who are not good with dealing with small children. Here you are with your dad at the STENCILING station. Stenciling is in caps because as we were approaching this station dad asked you if you would like to do the drawing station. Rudely the engineer said, "It's not drawing its stenciling and you have to make a dinosaur scene." Shortly after you were

1.5 Years
It is really hard for me to believe that you are already 18 months old. You are progressing so much it blows my mind. You are so curious, energetic, and adorable. You make mom and dad laugh daily. You love to read stories. Some of your favorites include; Hatch, I Love You as Much, Clifford's First Easter, and Barnyard Dance. You have a tendency to get into a book rut, which means we read a book around 1,000 times before without warning you move onto a new book that you love.
Along with being AMAZING, smart, and fun you also are bringing some challenges with this new age. You like to scream for what to your dad and me no reason at all! You also like to throw fits if your mom or dad cannot read your mind. You tend to get into trouble for hitting and biting as well. You throw your food and are generally stubborn! Like any kid you can be a little bit of a monster at times. Like any good parents we are trying to keep you in line, but I seriously underestimated just how difficult it can be to be a parent. You poor thing are just mom and dad's experiment!
Mostly we are having a blast with you.You make life much more fun and exciting. I would NEVER have thought that pushing a swing for 45 minutes could be fun or watching someone open and close a playhouse door 50 million times could be entertaining, but somehow you manage to make ordinary extraordinary.
